He went to see the manager and said they would do a one off for $137.00. I said I was a pensioner couldn't afford it. Said he could fix it for a six month 24/7 contract of couple hundred dollars. I went through the problem online with a so called tech. I paid the $39.90 USD which was a fair bit more in Australian dollars. Unfortunately I came across TechUtilities. He wrote a brief note to Tech Utilities asking for a full refund "Don't think we will get a reply, I think you have to write this off" and contact the government anti corruption people to tell them too, they may be able to take the site down. This morning I contacted a relative in the legal profession, YOU UNMITIGATED TWIT! You have been scammed! A quick check by him showed nothing had changed, Tech Utilities had done nothing at all that he could find and the initial problem was still there. There is no way to stop or reverse the payment. The plan I signed up to and paid was for $29.95: from my bank they took $71.91 which included VAT which is not a tax applicable to NZ. I explained that I was an 80 year old pensioner and could not afford that and was subjected to a very hard selling pitch to up-grade. I was told that there were over 1000 errors which needed fixing and the cost was I allowed this and numerous screens and scans then took place lasting for almost 30 minutes. Rapidly I was told they required to access my PC as it appeared to have faults. Line panel was not functioning so I reverted to the obvious help panel and was connected to a technical assistant. Download this app! Yes simple so far then to access required to register with a code. With a slight problem signing into a well used Google site I searched for a solution a page purporting to be Microsoft approved came up with how to solve my problem. Tech Utilities is a borderline scam site! I think because they could not get more money that's why I got bombarded with those That's why it only cost me $49 (au) because all I put on the card was $50 (au) Want to pay for something over the internet I first deposit the amount in that card, it cost nothing to do so just go to the nearest P O. I give you a tip ! Never use your credit card over the internet !!!! I use a debit card fromĪustralian Post Office, that's why they can not take more than what is in there. Speedup my computer, so after I done all the deleletions I ran that utility and all is fine. I'm luckey that I have ZoneAlarm for an antivirus setup and that also includes a utility to Over the next few weeks (which I never received before) I just deleted them and now I don't receive those emails any more. I did get a lot of strange emails and pornagrafic emails, I checked all my directories and my complete hard drive and anything that was received
